5 Classic Country Hits That Could Be Hits Today
Every so often, someone pulls out some classic hits from the past and introduce them to a whole new audience. From time to time, we'll even get a whole album, similar to what Martina McBride and Alan Jackson have both done. Granted, the remakes usually aren't quite as good as the originals, something I've mentioned several times in previous posts, but again, it introduces some great songs to new fans who may well never have heard the original. So here's five country classics that I think would be hits, again, if they were recorded, today.

Another Interesting Place To Hear Music
Do you ever notice the music being played in your local department store, grocery store or eatery? I have to admit that I do. I think that my life is completely boring, as I tend to notice what is being played, what songs are played back-to-back, and I also tend to notice that they always cut in with their specials (at the grocery store, at least) right in the middle of a song that I like.

Classic Album Review-Jack Greene “Until My Dreams Come True”
When it comes to singing with emotion, who can compare to George Jones and Vern Gosdin? Jack Greene compares with them very well, as his 1969 release Until My Dreams Come True, will attest.

Classic Album Review-Dwight Yoakam “Guitars, Cadillacs, etc., etc.
In a world where the majority of sounds on country radio were the pop-heavy likes of “Morning Desire”, “Bop”, “Never Be You”, and “Don't Underestimate My Love”, the very twangy, somewhat rockabilly sound of Dwight Yoakam's “Honky Tonk Man” stood out from everything else on the radio.

Do You Remember This Week In 1967?
It's time to get in the mood! Men, put on something brightly colored, ladies, fix the hair so your head's full shape is revealed and don't forget a few small curls, as well. And be sure to wear something that looks either prerevolutionary Russian or World War 1-styled military looks. Do this because we are going back to this week in 1967!

4 Classic Country Artists With New Music
Here's a name that you likely haven't heard for awhile, Radney Foster. Radney is a veteran songwriter, who's credited with songs such as “Since I Found You” (Sweethearts Of The Rodeo), “A Real Fine Place To Start”(Sara Evans), “Don't Go Out” (Tanya Tucker & T. Graham Brown), and “Raining On Sunday” (Keith Urban), among others. In addition to his songwriting success, he was also one half to the late 1980's duo Foster & Lloyd, who scored hits such as “Crazy Over You”, “Texas In 1880”, “Sure Thing”, and “Fair Shake”.

3 Ways To Find Good, New Country Music
Do you get frustrated whenever you turn the radio on, at what is coming through your speakers? When you listen to the new tunes your local radio station is playing, are you turned off, unimpressed, maybe even bored by the staleness and sameness of the sound? Perhaps the music has gotten too “bubblegum”? Yes, it happens, even in country music, including the “bubblegum” sound. You wind up wondering if any good music gets released, anymore. The answer to that, believe it or not, is yes. You may not be hearing it on the radio, but yes, there is still good new music being made. It's out there, just waiting for you to find it.
