3 Artists From The ’90s You Might Remember

Remember the 1990's? That was the midst of the “New Traditionalist” movement, where we saw a large influx of new talent into country music. Several, such as Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, and Martina McBride, would continue to be radio staples well into the new century. However, there were several more whose hit-making careers would last only 2-3 years, if not shorter. See how many you remember.

Remembering Burl Ives

Who might be the best known voice, this time of year, thanks to a classic Christmas recording, as well as a popular children's Christmas special? If you were to guess Burl Ives, you'd be correct. Every year, at this time, the radio airwaves, once again are filled with holiday classics from artists who otherwise aren't given the time of day by radio stations. Artists such as Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, and Burl Ives.

A Name From The Past – K. T. Oslin

I don't think this could happen in today's country music atmosphere; a 45 year old unknown female vocalist, releases a record that not only becomes a big hit, but also an anthem, of sorts, for all women in her generation. Remembering Hank Thompson

Sounds that were similar to Bob Wills and Ernest Tubb, yet still unique enough that you could immediately recognize the artist. Also, some of the best song titles to ever appear on the country music charts. The artists responsible for those sounds? Hank Thompson and His Brazos Valley Boys.
