Classic Album Review-Steve Wariner “I Am Ready”
Steve Wariner is an interesting artist to look back on. His career lasted from 1980, through 2000, yet he wouldn't really be considered a superstar, despite 48 country top forty hits, including 33 top ten hits.

Happy New Year!
Well, we made it. Through the holidays, along with various Internet disruptions, we've still made it and are still standing. Hopefully, now, things are back to normal, meaning a return to regular blogging, and hopefully soon, a radio program of some kind.

Where Have I Been?
Good question. I Didn't win the lottery, nor was I abducted by aliens, however, we've been having a few computer issues, that have prevented posting the past couple of days.

Christmas Light Displays
Each year, millions of us, across this great land, take to our vehicles at least once, during the Christmas season, to do nothing more than drive the neighborhoods and cul-de-sacs to see the various display of Christmas lights. For many, it's simply stringing them around bushes and trees and the house, maybe a few lighted displays in the yard, as well. However, there are some that go way beyond the basic; using hundreds of thousands of lights to create incredible displays expressing the Christmas celebration. And now, with use of computers and even wireless technology, these displays are more elaborate, than ever.

Remembering The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Their story begins with their formation as a jug band, in 1966. While it often takes several years for a band to advance from formation to recording, in their case, within a year, they were already recording, and by the end of 1967, had already made an appearance on the pop charts, falling just short of the top forty with “Buy For Me The Rain”. The rest of the sixties would see a total of four albums, mostly with only minimal results, and no singles of note.

The Christmas Tree
The hunt. It happens, every year, at this time, beginning at the Thanksgiving weekend, and ending somewhere in the final days preceding December 25th. People search high and low, in towns and on farms, on lots and store fronts, even forests and woods. All searching for that same thing. They arrive with tools in hand, pickup trucks, vans, saws, gloves, all decked out as if they were heading into battle.

Thanksgiving Is Coming
It has started. The preparations for annual feast-fest known as Thanksgiving has begun. You knew it was getting close. After all, the Christmas displays have been in the stores for a couple of months, now. But, back to Thanksgiving. It is actually a fun holiday, to me, at least. After all, anything that mixes a large amount of eating, along with football, has to be good, even if the Detroit Lions are involved.

Coming Up…
It's hard to believe, but we are approaching the final few weeks of the first decade of the 21st Century. Has it been ten years, already? It certainly has. Much has happened, during that time, in the world, in our lives, and certainly in the music. Over the coming weeks, we are going to take a look back at the songs, and the artists who sang them, for each decade, starting with the fifties, and ending up with this decade.

Random Thoughts On This, That, And The Other
Some random thoughts about this, that, and the other. The Phillies forced a game 6, after winning last night's World Series, basically delaying the inevitable ending that will see the Yankees on top, making the city of New York and television sports executives everywhere, very happy.
